Description

Snaidero is an Italian kitchen design company that was founded in 1946 by Rino Snaidero in Majano, Italy. In the 1960s, the company transformed into a larger industry and began expanding to various locations in Europe and other parts of the world. During the 1970s and 1980s, Snaidero worked with several renowned designers and gained international recognition for its kitchen designs. In the 1990s, the company began acquiring other European kitchen companies, including Rational in Germany, Arthur Bonnet in France, and Regina in Austria. In 2000, Snaidero created the Snaidero Group and acquired additional companies, including Ixina in Belgium. In 2006, the company established Slavonska Drvna Industrija in Croatia and founded the Rino Snaidero Scientific Foundation. In 2009, Snaidero acquired a stake in the German company Nobilia. The company struggled financially during the economic crisis in the late 2000s and early 2010s, and underwent restructuring efforts. In 2015, Snaidero sold its stake in its franchise division, Fbd, to Nobilia. In 2018, the company sold a 51% stake to Dea Capital Ccr II, a fund of the De Agostini group. In 2021, Snaidero sold its German brands, Rational, Regina, and Mahlzeit by Rational, to Bravat.
